In a diversion from the past, the Supplier Meet was held online this year due to the pandemic. Despite a change of format, the meeting was attended with the same enthusiasm and saw good participation from Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery Co. Ltd.’s business associates who supply the production materials. To ensure that the meet was conducted smoothly, all technical aspects were checked in advance. During the online meet, Mr. Akio Tanaka (President & CEO, Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery Co. Ltd.) motivated everyone to re-challenge the approach to the situation in 2021, get more aggressive, launch products that offer value at a faster pace and follow the vision to continuously shift to a profitable structure. Mr. Takumi Kanetsuka (President, Ryono Factory Co. Ltd.) commented on the situation of Ryono Factory and reiterated the slogan for 2021, "We will grow into a company that can provide value both inside and outside the Group by concentrating all our strengths and thinking with a sense of speed." He also urged for cooperation in the eradication of initial quality defects and implement cost reduction processes. Mr. Kazufumi Hara (General Manager, Production Control, Ryono Factory Co. Ltd.) explained the approach towards cost, quality, delivery and safety aspects to optimise procurement. “By communicating the Group's vision to our suppliers, I think we are able to deepen our ties and build a stronger supply chain. For the development of the Group, we will continue to strive for the timely procurement of the best products at lower prices. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those involved for their cooperation.”, added Mr. Naoki Takahashi (Product Control Department, Ryono Factory Co. Ltd.) The meet ended on a positive note with the suppliers and the Group optimistic about their concerted efforts yielding good results in the time to come.
