DIMO cares, for the farmers and the tractors. It was evident in the fact that the company rolled out a massive, island wide service camp, which entailed a lot of planning and use of skilled resources to

take place smoothly and efficiently. The service camp covered 95 locations over a period of 35 days during which 1558 tractors were attended to. Key locations had been pre-identified based on tractor park and severity of product concerns in specific pockets. A team of 12 skilled technicians from DIMO and the dealer network were engaged to attend to the product concerns. Parts were stocked 2 weeks before campaign based on the consumption pattern and field complaints. 2 vans and 2 mobile trucks were deployed with the required spare parts and lubricants. Each area had a designated Area Manager and Service Coordinator to ensure everything happened as planned. All the on ground preparations like canopy installation, new tractor display and branding as well as database and inquiry management were handled by professional agencies.

The service camp not only tackled the problems ailing the product, they were a reassurance to the farmers that their tractors would always be well taken care of.

Medical camps were also organized in association with the local government hospitals. To ensure that the service camp was a true success, it was well promoted. Radio ads in Sinhalese and Tamil were aired a week before the camp. Personal invites were delivered to the customers’ doorstep. Posters were displayed at prominent spots in the village, and a van was deployed for promotion on the camp days. Customers were also informed about the camp via telemarketing.

The success of Erkunt Tractor is based on its ability to understand the pulse and pain of farmers, and build tractors that provide them with an unmatched solution. 8 years ago, the company began its endeavour to design orchard tractors as there was an intense demand by farmers. Since then, the company has developed 11 compact models under the M series, which are specifically designed for fruit trees such as hazelnut, olives, cherry, citrus fruits, pear and peach.

Now, Erkunt Tractor has come up with one more breakthrough model. After taking into consideration all their needs, Erkunt Tractor has successfully designed the market’s smallest, most agile tractor with the highest manoeuvre capability, Erkunt 95 Fruit Garden Lux. This innovative tractor was launched at the prestigious Bursa Fair and drew the attention of all visitors. With the rise of these small tractors, farmers have happily bid goodbye to the days of big tractors often hitting and damaging fruits.
