Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery Co. Ltd.’s commitment to technological advancement reaped a moment of high honour for them. The high-precision GNSS steering assist system SE-Navi, designed by the company’s Advanced Technology Development Department, received the prestigious Matsue Techno Forum Engineer Award 2020. The SE-Navi, jointly developed with Agricultural Information Design Co. Ltd., can be mounted on tractors as well as rice transplanters.
Its main advantages are easy operation, ability to handle ultra-low speed work as well as to add to the functions of machines and low cost. With smart agriculture fast becoming a norm, various steering assist systems have been introduced by different manufacturers. The SE-Navi won mainly because of its ease of use and low cost. Getting the recognition from Matsue Techno Forum was an honour as it is an organisation in which the National College of Technology and volunteers from local industry collaborate to exchange technology. And the award recognises outstanding young engineers who have contributed to the enhancement of corporate value through technological and product development. The Advanced Technology Development Department will continue to improve the function and performance of SE-Navi and make it more adaptable to other models.
