Not every deal is pure business, not every act a profit generating one. Working for the larger good, Mahindra’s dealers contributed to alleviate the pains faced by society.
With the aim to minimise the spread of Covid-19 in Santa Maria/RS, the local government decided to disinfect the city streets. Mahindra’s 6075 model was selected for this purpose, which was delivered by Agrotec, Mahindra’s dealer since 2019. The 80 HP tractor would pull a tank trailer to sanitise the main city accesses. The 6075 model was chosen for the task over other tractors due to its robustness, ease of operation, fuel efficiency and PTO functionalities that increases its efficiency and productivity. While handing over the tractor to Mr. Jorge Pozzobom (Mayor), Mr. Idio Berger (Founding Partner, Agrotec) said, “We are honoured that the city has chosen Mahindra to participate in this fight against Covid-19. We believe that this is a cause for everyone and together we will overcome the crisis.”
The Qualicitrus Group, who has been in the market for 21 years and has 13 points of sales across the São Paulo and Minas Gerais states, has formed a group called ‘Sociedade Amigos Da Qualicitrus No Combate A Fome’ (which means Qualicitrus’ Friends Society for Hungry Combat) to fight hunger. As doing good is part of the organisation's philosophy, it distributes 600 soup dishes daily, from Monday to Friday, amongst the needy families in Limeira. Since its inception 19 years ago, the group has delivered more than 3 million meals in the different neighbourhoods. This noble cause is funded by the generous contributions made by the partners and dealers, and the staff of the Qualicitrus Group works for this philanthropic endeavour. According to Mr. Marcos De Giácomo (Founding Partner, Qualicitrus Group), “Each one can help and do their part, the most important thing is the desire to do good and help build a solidary society.”
