Erkunt Tractor’s commitment to research and development for years won it a place in the prestigious list by Turkishtime Magazine that includes companies with the most R&D expenditure. It is the second year in a row that the company has made it to the list.
Started in 2004, Erkunt Tractor has over the years earned a significant place in the market with its locally produced tractors. Erkunt Tractor has always laid emphasis on R&D and followed an innovative approach to improve its offerings based on the inputs received from farmers. “Ever since Erkunt Tractor was founded, we have combined the farmer feedback with our innovative approach during the production process. With the R&D investments, the company can manufacture more durable, efficient and economic tractors.”, said Mr. Tolga Saylan (CEO, Erkunt Tractor). He continued, “We are closely following the technological developments in the world to make our tractors more efficient, technology driven and durable for the rough conditions. We are always trying to be farmer friendly. It is our duty as manufacturers to improve, test and apply new technologies to our products. The age that we are in pushes us to be more innovative and meticulous.”
As Erkunt Tractor manufactures its tractors, and is not under any other brand’s license, R&D is extremely important for the company.
After getting the Ministry of Industry’s approval for its R&D centre in 2015, the company increased the amount of expenditure for the R&D projects. “I believe that Erkunt will be investing more into R&D in the following 10 years and continue to be in this prestigious list.”, stated Mr. Saylan.
