There’s no better platform than trade fairs to showcase a brand’s strength and connect with the farmers. After the pandemic-induced gap of 2 years, Mahindra once again made its presence felt at prominent, national-level trade shows.
Mahindra participated in the 22nd edition of Expodireto Cotrijal, which took place from 7th to 11thMarch 2022 in Não-Me-Toque, Rio Grande do Sul, through its 5 dealers from the region. The farmers had something new to look forward to as Mahindra launched its multifunctional 5050 tractor (49 HP). This tractor is suitable for small areas such as horticultural crops and tobacco. “The growth of the compact segment is 47%, andreflects the sales increase of tractors up to 50 HP. Aware of this market niche, we launched the 5050 model, a tractor that will meet the needs of producers looking for a multitasking machine, combined with fuel economy, strength, low maintenance and even the best warranty terms in the Brazilian market”, explained Mr. Gilberto Dutra (Product Marketing Specialist, Mahindra Brazil).
At its modern, attractive display stand, Mahindra showcased tractors from 25 HP to 110 HP, 86-110 HP premium models, the 6000 series, which is the bestseller line of Mahindra Brazil and includes the 6060 (57 HP), 6065 (65 HP) and the 6075 (80 HP) models. From the 11 models in the portfolio, six models can be acquired through the rural financing line, BNDES. Mahindra representatives welcomed a large flow of visitors, which included producers interested in getting in touch with the brand as well as customers looking for new opportunities to acquire another Mahindra tractor.
Mr. Suraj Mohan (Vice Consul, Indian Consulate in São Paulo) was received by Mr. Jak Torretta Jr. (General Operations Director, Mahindra Brazil) and Mr. Martin Fallgatter (MagBRA CFO). “After two years without face-to-face events, our participation in these events is essential. It enables to connect not only with customers, but also with suppliers, financial institutions and the press. We could demonstrate the perfect adaptation of Mahindra tractors to the Brazilian market.”, said Mr. Torretta Jr. The participation proved to be advantageous as a substantial number of tractors were sold during the event and the brand awareness increased further among the Brazilian farmers.
Another important trade event that Mahindra took part in was Expo Afubra, which is one of the state’s largest and most traditional trade shows and focuses on family farming. Held between 23rd and 26th March 2022, in the city of Rio Pardo, in Rio Grande do Sul, the event saw a lot of footfalls. Mahindra caught the visitors’ attention with the launch of the 5050 model and an impressive display of tractors in the 25 HP to 95 HP range. Tobacco growers appreciated the newly launched 5050 model as its specifications were suitable for the tobacco crops, which are predominant in the region.
For both the trade shows, the Mahindra team worked with the sales team of the Rio Grande do Sul dealers. Currently, Mahindra Brazil has a huge network of 54 points of sales and after-sales centres.“The profile of our dealers networking is getting bigger. Our operations keep expanding in the Brazilian territory. In each field demonstration carried out by our dealers, producers get to know the global strength of Mahindra, building a relationship of trust and partnership with our brand in Brazil.”, concluded Mr. Jak Torretta Jr.
Mahindra’s presence at the trade fairs and the launch gave the brand a new dimension of popularity with the Brazilian farmers.
