The annual Dealer Meet of Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery Co. Ltd. was shifted from the physical to virtual mode, due to the ongoing pandemic. While it was a different experience from having a face-to-face interaction and exchange of ideas with the dealer’s teams, it turned out to be an engaging and well-received event online. Dealers were appreciated for their initiatives to boost sales even during one of the most challenging times. Leading dealers who set a new standard of achievement were awarded a tablet. The tablet contained messages of encouragement from Mr. Takashi Mikogami (President and CEO, Logistics, Thermal & Drive Systems, MHI) and Mr. Prakash Wakankar (Chief of International Operations, Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra). It also included a message from Mr. Akio Tanaka (President & CEO, Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery Co. Ltd.) who mentioned about the vision to develop new products, improve quality, hold exhibitions and demonstrations as much as possible and adopt an aggressive market strategy rather than waiting for the right opportunity to come along. Specific measures were also mentioned to overcome the current predicament together as a group. The message by Mr. Tetsuya Joudai (Sales Planning & Strategy Department) included, " It was very disappointing that we had to cancel the ceremony, but it presented the chance for a new initiative. I would like to take this change as an opportunity and play a part in the reversal of our approach to the situation. I would like to thank all the members of the group for their cooperation.” In addition to messages from the executives, product videos and price lists, a guidebook with an QR code was fed in the tablet, so that the dealers could use the services of HP, YouTube and MAMS-NET. The Dealer Meet was a good occasion for everyone to connect and renewed people’s fervour and reinforced their commitment to the future goals.
