BIG HAPPENINGS AT THE FAIRS

15 March 2022

Two of Turkey’s biggest agricultural fairs were the platform for path-breaking launches by Erkunt Tractor.
At Agroexpo Agricultural Fair held in Izmir in February 2022, Erkunt Tractor introduced its ‘eCapra Engine’ which is the country’s first totally indigenous production.
And it is for the first time that a company used the 'Common Rail Diesel' technology in Turkey. Erkunt Tractor with its innovative firsts deepens the trust of farmers with whom they already share a strong bond. At the event, Mr. Tolga Saylan (CEO, Erkunt Tractor) shared his thoughts, “Our new brand, ‘eCapra Engine’ is the final result of a project that we started and dreamed of for many years to produce our own engine and our own tractors with this engine. ‘Capra’ means goat in Latin. We chose 'eCapra Engine' to describe this goat with a common language in local and national markets. This step is revolutionary for Turkey because it will reduce our dependence on foreign engines. Our new engine family, which we will start producing at our Ankara factory, will cover the entire product portfolio; they have a very flexible and adaptable design to make the necessary changes according to the needs of the farmers and emission rules.”
At the Konya Agriculture Fair held in March 2022, Erkunt Tractor introduced its two unique, handmade tractors - Hasret 125 Lux CRD4 Powershuttle and Nimet 75 Lux CRD. They were auctioned with the intent to donate the proceeds to charitable causes. The winner of the auction not only became the proud owner of the two special tractors but also became a Konya Erkunt dealer. “Numbers don't matter to us; the important thing is to do things that will be beneficial to people in line with such a beautiful goal and to use these large numbers for charity.”, said the winner. The auction was broadcasted live via social media and was highly appreciated by the participants at the fair and social media followers. The auction, followed by thousands of viewers, was flooded with comments.Mr. Tolga Saylan (CEO, Erkunt Tractor) articulated the intent behind the launch of these tractors, “As the manufacturer of the first domestically designed tractor that has set its mind to be the farmer's power, our priority goal is to develop a tractor that will meet the wishes and needs of our farmers and provide them with the comfort, performance, and economy they need while doing their job. All our efforts are in this direction; we are here in the presence of our farmers with our new products.” He concluded that their goal at every stage of production is the satisfaction of working and producing farmers. In addition, the new members of the 80.4 Meyveci CRD and Nimet 75 Luxury CRDgroup were presented to all the farmers. The visitors closely followed the Erkunt Tractor stand during the entire fair, and there was a high level of participation and interest.
