Sowing the seeds of trust, the Água Branca Group and Mahindra have contributed to the agricultural economy of the region. The Água Branca Group is the first fleet operator of Mahindra in Brazil and it was a relationship to be celebrated. In the gardens of a 19th century mansion, headquarters of one of the farms of the Água Branca Group in Itú city, São Paulo, Mahindra presented a commemorative plaque to Mr. Olinto Rodrigues de Arruda (President, Água Branca Group). “It is an honour to have the Água Branca Group as the first Mahindra fleet operator in Brazil. Currently, the Group is our main client, and an example of efficient management, with profitable and sustainable economic activity”, celebrated Mr. Jak Torretta Jr. (General Operations Director, Mahindra Brazil).
Founded 42 years ago, the Água Branca Group has diversified agricultural production, managed in 21 rural properties, and is mainly into pig farming. To assist in the daily routine, at the various farms in the region, the Group chose to have a fleet of 10 Mahindra models with different power ranges. The 10 models include 4530 (2 nos.), 6060 (1 no.), 6075 (2 nos.), 8000S (Open station) (2 nos.), 8000S (Cabin) (1 no.), 9500S
Open station/Cabin (2 nos.). Seven of the tractors were acquired through the National Consortium and the 10th Mahindra tractor, which was model 9500S (Open station), was purchased from Nova Tratores, Mahindra’s dealer in the Piraju/SP region. Two tractors from the 6000 line - 6060 (60 HP) and 6075 (75 HP) - serve well to spread manure in the grass planting area and to attend to cattle on the 400-hectare headquarters, Fazenda Água Branca, in Itú.
“It is a pleasure for Mahindra to be part of this business. It’s a group that is growing with the brand and is helping to build the Brazilian agriculture history. A partnership is built with confidence and that is what we idealise in our relations with our dealers and with Brazilian producers”, concluded Mr. Torretta.
