When the spirit doesn’t dampen, a lot gets achieved. The last quarter of the year has been all about Rise For Good, open days, new tractor deliveries and celebrating the expansion of the dealer network.
As part of the Rise For Good philosophy, Mahindra Australia partnered with Find Ya Feet, a non-profit organisation that conducts mental health workshops for the farmers. Due to the ongoing pandemic, physical workshops weren’t conducted, but the message was spread online as a 3-part series with Tommy Herschell from Find Ya Feet, Matthew Hayden, Mahindra’s brand ambassador, and Roothy, a well-known 4x4 legend. It was done with the aim to help farmers manage through this difficult year.
As all field days were cancelled this year, open days were held at many of the recently appointed dealers’ showroom. The open days were organised in line with the health directives in force. Some of the open days happened at Gympie Motorcycles, The Big Mower and Mike Carney during October to December 2020. Matthew Hayden was present at the open days and interacted with the customers, thereby making the experience engaging for them.
In the absence of any international travel opportunity, many Australians chose to work on their property, often necessitating the purchase of a new tractor. This led to an increase in demand, and often the tractors were sold even before they arrived at the dealers. Trevor chose the robust 6075 model, so did Ralph Mayer and they both purchased it from Lockyer Farm Machinery. On the other hand, Michael and Teresa took delivery of the mForce 100 HP Mahindra tractor. To meet the increasing demand, a load of Mahindra tractors was delivered in mid-December, just in time for a pre-Christmas delivery. Both the tractors were to be fitted out with loaders and backhoe attachments.
One of the highlights for Mahindra Australia has been its strategically growing dealer network. In 2020, 14 new dealers were appointed and to share a special message for each dealer, videos featuring Matthew Hayden were made and released during Christmas on social media. Here’s one of the video message https://youtu.be/GVRb-gZiJnU.
