Erkunt Tractor is reaping the results of its vision, commitment and perseverance. Tarmakbir, the Turkish Association of Agricultural Machinery & Equipment Manufacturers, recently announced the list of Turkish companies that have achieved the largest exports sector-wise. In the tractor sector, Erkunt Tractor secured the third spot, way ahead of many of its biggest competitors. The increasing sales figures of ArmaTrac made this achievement possible. Although the pandemic affected many sectors all around the world, the importance of agriculture came to the forefront. Many countries focused on sustainability and self-sufficiency and this led them to invest in agriculture once again. In return, this lead to a significant increase in the demand for agricultural machinery, including tractors.
Tarmakbir, an initiative of the Turkish private sector, was founded in 1978. Being the representative of the Turkish agricultural machinery, it has more than 200 member companies currently, which include well-established manufacturers of tractors and agricultural equipment. As it is one of the oldest member associations in Turkey’s Mechanical Industry sector, it has been entitled to use the word Turkish at the beginning of its title by the Turkish Council of Ministers. Mr. Tolga Saylan (CEO, Erkunt Tractor) is also a Board Member of this association and actively works in the areas of mechanisation and energy in the agriculture sector.
